2009 HOLIDAYS ON ICE

This year's club gala is "Holiday's on Ice", celebrating winter and other holidays around the world. A variety of solo, duet, trio and group programs, showcasing freestyle and dance disciplines, are planned. The gala takes place Saturday December 12 and Sunday December 13th, at 1:00 pm both days at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center ice rink, 3221 Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM.

More than 35 skaters from the Santa Fe Skating Club, Desert Ice Skating Club and USFS Basic Skills program are participating this year. These skaters range from 6 - 76 years old, and represent beginning, intermediate and advanced figure skating. There will be a "meet and greet" the cast after each show in the downstairs lobby.

On Saturday, there will be a special appearance by Ayaha Chen, a Juvenile Girls Regional and Junior National competitor. Miss Chen represents the Broadmoor Skating Club and will be skating to "All I Want For Christmas Is You."

The gala is sanctioned by United State Figure Skating. Santa Fe Skating Club is under the 501(C)(3) umbrella of the Santa Fe Skaters Association.
